Mining Industry in Peru

Desalination of water for a better supply of industrial processes.
This project was implemented in 2008 the first phase, 2013 phase II and 2016 phase III, the variability of the water in the area means that the operation of this plant is drastically and seasonally affected, with the existing Pretreatment of phase I (only Multimedia Filters ), coupled with the intake of seawater, which reduces its suction due to microbiological fouling in almost the entire half of the year, which requires stops to clean the offshore strainers very frequently.
CHALLENGE
The client requires 50 L/s of water for its process continuously to increase production at the Mine.
SOLUTION
A new strainer set made of a material that is antifouling for macro fouling was supplied and installed, a UF system was designed, built and installed for Phase I, all this investment was made by Industrias Islas and offered to the client only for a fair cost of US$ /m3 of permeated water produced.
